Activities

The academic systems at Novel International School follow CBSE Curriculum. Teaching at Novel is student-centered, project- based, and incorporates the multiple intelligences concept. While the general curriculum is followed by every student, he or she is also encouraged to develop talents and interests in personal areas of academic interest, and in sport, theatre music and dance, for which facilities are outstanding. Novel aims to develop motivated, confident articulate students with the skills necessary for independent study.

Celebrating Excellence in chess

We are thrilled to announce that Krishnasai from Std 8B has made us proud by securing the 2nd position in the prestigious Maharashtra State Amateur Chess Tournament, competing among 370 participants!  With an impressive 7.5/9 score, he has achieved a rating increase of 109 points, won a cash prize of ₹8,000, and secured a spot in the National Championships.

Students Cultural Exchange program

Novel Group of institutes has a tie-up with Wisdom Career Education, Mumbai for the past 7 years. Wisdom Career Education mainly focuses on the development of students and provide training programs to optimize career development for students. Wisdom Career Education also promotes international awareness and cultural exchange and ensures this assistance also reaches those who wish to expand their vision globally. This gives an opportunity to make the dream of an International education available and accessible to a large number of career aspirants. To achieve this Wisdom Career Education has placed more than 100 students on the various educational options available in countries like INDIA / UK / Switzerland / Singapore / New Zealand / France /Germany / Australia / Canada.

In the upcoming years, NOVEL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL will be conducting a student’s cultural exchange program wherein some of Novel Group students can be sent to some designated schools abroad & simultaneously some of the foreign students can be brought to Novel International School. Through this type of activity, students can physically visit different countries & understand their cultures which will be beneficial to the students for their development and will help prepare themselves for their future career. This type of activity will help both Novel as well as the tied-up International School to stand different in this competitive World.

The Curriculum

A 360° Curriculum The school believes in the ‘Experiential Learning Method’ which lays emphasis on Aim, Action, Analysis, Application and Assessment. This gives students clarity about the learning outcome. It helps them experience the concept and gives them the opportunity to practice what they learn. It enables deeper understanding, critical thinking, effective communication and collaborative skills as also the development of leadership qualities, decision making and innovative thinking.

  • The school follows the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (C.C.E) system for assessing students’ progress.
  • C.C.E is a process to provide a holistic profile of the learner through regular assessment of both scholastic as well as co-scholastic areas.
  • Scholastic areas include formative and summative assessment. Each term shall have two formative and one summative assessment.
  • Co-scholastic activities include literary, aesthetic performing arts skills along with health and physical education.
  • Co-scholastic areas shall be assessed on the basis of life skills as well as attitudes and values. The above shall be evaluated and graded.

Art Studio, Music Studio, Dance Studio and Amphitheatre offer them the right mood and ambience.
